no rest for the bulldawg

finally i am home alone and can use the computer.

something happened when my people went away last weekend. they were fine when they came to pick me up, even though i wasn't. they went to work the next day, which was great because i needed a long rest after being at grandma and grandpa's house.

then, they didn't leave the house for 2 days, well, except to take me out. dad stayed in bed all day long on the first day. while he was sleeping he got all sweaty. i licked his head to cool him off, but, oops, i woke him up.

mom had her pajamas on all the time, but was still on the computer and phone even when she was in bed. she must be very important. or really worried that they might miss her. she didn't rest very much and used up lots of tissues.

they didn't even go to the gym. apparently they were sick.

they went to work on friday, which was a good thing since i was really tired of following them around all day. one good thing came out of their sickness -- mom fed me 1/2 of her raw catfood dinner on friday night. well, except for that eel stuff called unagi. she seems to like it but i find it too sweet.

dad seemed better on the weekend. he left a lot and came back with bags of food and stuff. mom did some cleaning saturday morning then spent the rest of the weekend in her pjs again. she really didn't feel well.

then today, my people surprised me: they went to the gym for the first time in a week. mom still doesn't feel good i can tell, but she was a pretty big trooper and put on her workout clothes and went. when she got back she didn't seem that happy with the workout, but we all have bad days.

well, except me. i only have a bad day if my tummy's upset. and that doesn't happen very often so most of the time, my days are really good. ok, i'm going back to sleep now just in case someone gets home early.

they did it again

so i noticed my people putting clothes into a bag again. didn't think much of it since they've been putting clothes into bags a lot lately and taking them away. but then they said, "daisy want to go to grandma and grandpa's?"

yes, it was true! it was only for one night but i certainly made the most of it. plenty of ball playing! non-stop snacking! tug galore! buttered toast!

my people came to pick me up this afternoon in the middle of my post luncheon nap. so i am exhausted. in fact, this is going to be a very short entry. i think i need to lay down.

big surprise: back to the buffet

my people tricked me yesterday.

of course i knew it was saturday -- they didn't seem in a huge rush as they showered and put their clothes on and they didn't go to the gym before i woke up. but then when they were ready they said the magic words: "daisy, want to go to grandma and grandpa's".

duh. what did they think? i'd say no. please.

so we got in the truck and headed down the highway. the car ride wasn't so bad because i got put on the seat -- much more comfy than the floor.

i hope my people get me the seat cover they're talking about for the truck. the back seat is too slippery but i still like sitting on it especially if i have a warm human next to me.

once we got there my people went away for a while so the buffet could begin: i had chicken. i had bananas. i had some dog cookies. i had some kilbassa. i had so many yummy things in such a short amount of time that i can't even remember.

my people came back to grandma and grandpa's for a while. grandpa didn't seem to be able to move as fast as usual -- he had his knee rebuilt or something like that -- so i took it easy on the old guy. he still had to play ball with me, but i spent some time on the couch lounging with him. he lets me have the side i like -- the right side has the best headrest.

then my people left again. grandma gave me some more snacks.

when my people came back carrying bags of food, all i really wanted to do nap. so i did. that is until the roast beef dinner was ready. i got some and gravy too in my bowl. so i ate that and skipped the crunchies. i can get them any time. then i went to work on grandma. my cute looks guarantee 1/2 her dinner ends up in my tummy.

speaking of that, i had 1/2 of my female human's sushi and sashimi dinner the night before. i love that cat food! it's even better than when it's cooked. i wish my people had it more often.

so it's been a good weekend for food so far. hopefully today is also good.
